Standard applications

Shape memory coupling sleeves

A tubular sleeve is expanded and placed around two pipes extremities. Upon heating, the sleeve returns to its original shape and endure a perfect sealing.

Deployment devices

SMA actuators react to a heat source (natural or artificial) and return to its original shape generating a strength useful to deploy antenna or others satellite components.

Locking/Unlocking devices

SMA components can be used to clamp a mechanism. Temperature increase enables the component to return to its original shape and locking or unlocking the mechanism.

Morphing effects
